Privacy Notice

A factual guide to the information EconMind OS handles, why it is used, and the controls available to you.

Version 1.1 · Effective 2026-08-27

1. Scope and plain-language summary

This notice explains how EconMind OS handles personal information when you use its economics learning tools, school and team workspace, public League directory, and support form. EconMind OS is an educational platform. It is not a financial advisory, trading, or commercial forecasting service.

We collect only the information needed to run the features that are available on the site, keep learning work and account controls functioning, and protect the community. We do not sell personal information or run advertising profiles.

2. Information we handle

  • Account information: the email address and authentication identifier managed by Supabase Auth, plus an optional display name supplied at registration.
  • Optional profile information: graduation year, economics club name, role preference, school association, team membership, and League role where you choose or are assigned to provide them.
  • Learning and workspace records: saved model runs, parameters and results, favourites, learning progress, case work, experiment responses, challenge attempts, and any explanations or text you submit to a feature.
  • League and published-work records: school, team, role, official attempt, policy or project records required for an active learning activity. Public League directories show only the released school or team information designed for that directory, such as school/team identity, aggregate participation, and selected leadership identity.
  • Support and integrity records: requests sent through the in-site Contact form, reports, administrator responses, and internal moderation or audit notes needed to process those requests fairly.
  • Technical storage: the browser may store your Supabase session, theme preference, local drafts, invitation state, and recently used learning controls. These items help the site work and are not used for advertising profiling.

3. Google Sign-In

Google Sign-In is an optional authentication method provided through Supabase Auth. You may use the platform's email-based account options where they are available instead.

  • Data received: when you choose Google Sign-In, we may receive the email address, provider authentication identifier, and—only if Google provides them—your display name and profile image URL. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, contacts, or other Google account content.
  • Use: this data is used only to authenticate you, connect you to your EconMind account, maintain account security, and provide signed-in features. It is not used for advertising, sold, or used to build advertising profiles.
  • Storage: the EconMind account record and permitted profile fields are stored through Supabase. Your browser stores an authentication session needed to keep you signed in. EconMind OS does not receive or store your Google password.
  • Sharing: your email address and provider authentication identifier are not public. A display name, school/team association, or role is shown only where the relevant EconMind OS feature or directory says it will be shown.

4. Why we use information

  • to create and secure your account, maintain your session, and provide saved-work features;
  • to run the learning, challenge, school, and team functions you choose to use;
  • to show intentionally public school and team directory information;
  • to process support, privacy, access, deletion, safety, and integrity requests;
  • to investigate misuse, enforce the Community Guidelines, and maintain a safe educational environment; and
  • to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service without using personal information for advertising or sale.

5. Visibility and sharing

Your email address, authentication identifier, private saved work, private drafts, and administrator notes are not shown in the public directory. A normal profile is limited to the display name you choose; school, team, and role information appears only where a League workflow needs it.

Some Team-page contact cards are an editorial directory exception. They are published only for people who have expressly agreed to public display of those contact details. Those contact cards are not copied into ordinary member profiles or search results.

Selected reports, school/team information, challenge outcomes, or project results may be visible to the audience stated in that feature. If a feature offers a share link, treat the link as access to the selected report and avoid sending it to people who should not see it.

6. Storage and service providers

EconMind OS uses Supabase for authentication and database storage. Access to application records is protected by Row Level Security so that ordinary signed-in users can access their own records only, while platform administrators have narrowly scoped administrative access for the services they operate.

The public site is delivered through its configured web hosting and source-control deployment. We do not currently use a paid external AI API to generate learning answers or profile users. Economics calculations in the interactive models run in the browser unless a feature clearly saves a result you ask to keep.

7. Retention and account deletion

We keep account and learning information only for as long as it is useful for the educational service, support, security, and legitimate record-keeping needs. The appropriate period depends on the type of record and whether it forms part of a shared League activity.

A standard personal account with no school, team, League, World, privileged-role, or shared-content responsibility can be permanently deleted from the Profile page after a server-side eligibility check and explicit confirmation. The Auth identity, personal profile, private workspace records, and private support correspondence are deleted together. Accounts connected to an organisation or shared records use administrator review so that another participant's records are not accidentally removed; shared historical records may be retained in de-identified form when needed to preserve an activity.

8. Your choices and requests

You can edit optional profile information from your Profile page and use its deletion control for an eligible personal account. Privacy, access, correction, or administrator-reviewed deletion requests can also be submitted through the in-site Contact form; their status and the administrator's final response are visible in your profile. For security, self-service deletion and reviewed account-deletion requests must originate from the signed-in account concerned.

The platform does not currently operate behavioural advertising cookies or a third-party marketing analytics programme. Essential browser storage is used for authentication, preferences, and local drafts. If that changes materially, this notice and the consent flow will be updated before the change is relied upon.

9. School and younger users

EconMind OS is designed for school and community learning. Students should use it in accordance with their school, parent or guardian, and applicable local requirements. Schools and adult coordinators remain responsible for deciding whether and how their students may participate in a particular activity.

10. Updates and contact

This notice is versioned so changes can be understood. It includes a Google Sign-In transparency clarification. Existing users are not interrupted for routine wording or operational updates. For a material change, EconMind OS may request renewed acknowledgement before a relevant feature is used again.

Current version: Privacy Notice v1.1, effective 2026-08-27. Use the signed-in Contact form for requests that need account verification or a recorded response. For general privacy questions or if you cannot sign in, contact admin@econmind.group. Account-deletion requests cannot be actioned from an unauthenticated email alone.
